The Ergohuman range of office chairs are stunning and, although they are similar but different, you’ll be hard-pushed to choose the one for you. The Mirus is the latest addition and, like many of the other designs, it also boasts the single-lever control, which allows you to adjust the three popular features of seat height, seat depth and back tilt.

The seat height makes the seat available to short, medium and tall users, getting the seat pad in position to allow your feet to touch the floor comfortably. The seat depth complements the seat back’s purpose of addressing height, in that it allows you to make sure that your thighs are fully supported and your knees fold comfortably at the seat pad end. Like in a car, the seat tilt is about feeling right and getting your arms and hands to meet the working area (keyboard or desk as opposed to the steering wheel) at the most effective distance.

The multi-directional neck-roll gets the support just where you need it, as is the case with the 3D lumbar support facility. The seat slide manoeuvre adds the finishing touches.

Ergohuman – from Manufacture to Delivery

References are so important, aren’t they? Okay, they’re essential when applying for a job but they’re also important for many other needs.
In this moment, I’m talking chairs. Not just any chair but ergonomic office chairs. Technology in tandem with ergonomics have now produced many wonders in the office chair market but this doesn’t mean that every one of those chairs is going to be suitable for you. After all, we’re different shapes and sizes, different jobs demand different things from our personal frame and build and then there’s the other point of attraction. Yes, the ergonomic office chairs of today can be ‘very becoming (mine’s the Ergohuman Mirus)’ and so that ‘eye candy’ which normally applies to spotting good lookers might also apply to other items too. If the chair gives you that personal buzz, joining forces with it every day gives you a personal satisfaction and getting your head round the complexities of work feel naturally comfortable.

If I was ready to buy another ergonomic office chair, I would look for a supplier who could provide me with genuine references from purchasers of the models in which I was registering a personal interest. ‘Great’ may do little for me but to hear that a chair is a great piece of kit, that the user’s back clicked into place when using the chair correctly, or maybe even that someone is now feeling all-round benefits in both work and home life would make me look more into that particular office chair. I’d also be interested in feedback on the supplier and subsequent delivery time, a bit like those yellow stars you see against the details of well-seasoned Ebay sellers, telling you that they regularly come up with the goods and services expected when buying from strangers.
Me? I’d probably choose another Ergohuman Mirus, once again with mesh upholstery. Now that I know this chair and its adjustments can meet my personal needs, I might look at other chairs in the Ergohuman range e.g. the Nefil and the Ergohuman Plus, as this company, the supplier service and the delivery time, have already been proven to me. If I change anything, it would be the colour, as there’s a fantastic range to choose from.

I don’t need a new Mirus chair yet, as the Ergohuman range of chairs are very sustainable but I am going to treat myself to a footrest. Serving also as a leg rest when my chair is in a reclined position, this little added extra is going to heighten my pleasure during those laid back hours.

The Mirus Office Chair – an Office Chair to Take Seriously.

The Mirus Office Chair has a lot going for it in more ways than other office chairs. Like its cousins in the Ergohuman chair range, it has the single lever that controls seat height, seat depth and back tilt. The seat height means you can make sure that your feet comfortably touch the floor: if you have long legs, the seat will be higher than if you have shorter legs, where you will need to lower the seat to assure that you feet are touching down perfectly. If your chair is adjusted to the height of your desk then you may require a foot rest so that your legs don’t dangle. If your feet are not firmly on the floor, the chair could swivel a little to either side and this could pull a muscle in your back as you try to adjust yourself to the new and unexpected chair position.

The seat depth means how close the seat pad is to the chair back and, depending again on your height, you might want these two parts close to each other or further apart, as the idea is to make sure that your legs bend just after the seat pad ends, rather than trying to bend before hand, which would stop your feet touching the floor and could impede blood circulation.

The back tilt makes you feel comfortable in this ergonomic office chair and helps create the right distance needed for your extended arms, when you are working at your computer or desk.

The back height adjustment allows you to get the lumbar support exactly where you need it.
